With this talk of Laser detectors I have too tell a quick Laser gun story.
This past week end my brother and I where driving up to Vermont from Long
Island in his 93 100S.  We where on RT. 22 and there was a string of car going
quite slowly, so my Bro decides to pass them.  We had just passed the fourth
car (great sight distance) doing about 90MPH.  We had just tucked in when the
Escort let out one beep of laser warning.  Being in the middle of nowhere my
brother hit the brakes.  At this point I am sure the officer was saying to
himself " I got a good one here"  Well the Detector then showed full strength
on laser and my brother was hard on the brakes.  Well, we finally saw the
Police car sitting on the left hand side of the road and I really thought we
were going to get to talk to the officer.  Guess what we passed by him and he
did not come out after us.  I guess he did not lock on to us.  I bet he was
one pi**ed off guy sitting there in 20 deg weather with the widow down seeing
this Audi bombing down passing 4 cars at a time and not getting to write a
ticket. To bad, maybe next time.
