heat problem solved in CQ

I have to thank Jim Moore from MI for solving my heat problem
by having one of his own. :) And who says Ford guys are good for
nothing?

The short version is that I've been having a lack of heat in my CQ
since I bought it about a year ago. We changed all the usual
culprits, and then some - thermostat, control head, temp reg motor,
vac servos, on and on (some of these were actually bad).

The problem is that, most likely due to the high humidity in FL,
the foam that covers the flaps inside the heater box melted away
into nothing. My mechanic called today to report that the flaps
were basically bare metal with slots (probably for weight
reasons).

A used box is on order, and since we're in there, might as well
install a new heater core and blower motor, cause there is no
friggin way this dash is ever coming out again, unless it's
to install a 20vt motor...

I should have the car back sometime next week, but at least
in time for the second winter driving school in NH (hey
Paul, we gonna have snow? it's 60 degrees today!)
