You guys are correct. The new Passport does look like it more closely
matches the Valentine on a feature for feature basis, and given the
relationship between the two companies, I'll bet the Valentine was a direct
design target for the Passport guys.

I'd really like to hear some real world experiences with the two of these
on a head to head basis...or do I have to go out and buy both and do it
myself? :)

I don't mind doing the latter, but I (fortunately) don't have much exposure
to Ka or laser. Yet.
