Brake warning light flashes

The brake warning light on my 91 100 flashes for about a second or less 
whenever I sharply rap the brake pedal. It doesn't come on for normal 
stops. Brake and PS fluid levels look good (PS hydraulics are also used 
for power assist on brakes I think). Brake performance seems fine as 
well. Any idea what's causing this?
