Does the coolant temp sensor feed into the idle/fuel management system
somehow? My temp gauge works intermittently, and I was told that it was the
sensor, but I haven't been to worried about it because I assumed it just fed
info to the temp gauge - does it do something more that I should be
concerned about???

Subject: COLD IDLE 86 5KTQ

Model: 1986 5KTQ 150km
Symptoms were: All of a sudden very rough idle, oscillating between
1500-1800 rpm.
Fix: Replaced ISV
Symptoms are: engine will not cold high idle...once it reaches
normal operating temperature, engine idles fine
-750rpm. Engine cold high idle worked fine before
troubles with ISV.
Tried: Test swapped idle stabilizer temp sensor and
engine coolant temp sensor, both
appear to be working.
