Hello everyone-
It seems, reading over the previous post, that I emphasized
the fact that I have resubbed. I meant to emphasize that
although the 5kt is running fine, it made a *really* odd
noise for a while. Has there really been no one else who has
ever heard a sound like this??
Again, it's an 87 MC engine, orig. ignition (and most
everything else)
It squealed, like a loose belt, from inside the distributor
housing for a short time. Removal of the cap revealed
nothing unusual (scrape marks, free play in the shaft,
etc.)...
I am a bit puzzled, to say the least. Short of swapping the
dist., (which is quiet again BTW), how might I diagnose this
latest unique Audi tune?
Reminds me of the Graf pump "turkey gobble" debates.
