I always recommend people using these 'chicken wire' filters to take a
baby-wipe and wipe out the air mass sensor immediately inboard of the
filter and take a good look at it.  Amazin' how many quietly go back to
paper.  Most of the owners' garages I visit have a K&N on the shelf.
