Help: A4 sunroof problem.

Greetings,
I have a '96 A4 in service since Sep '97. It has developed a
annoying sunroof rattle which occurs when driving over even 
mild bumps and uneven freeway roads. It is much more
noticeable when driving over speed bumps and the like.

Reaching back over my shoulder from the drivers seat, I put
my hand back into the sunroof while its is closed. I feel
a flat metal bar with a lot of play in it. I believe this
piece is causing the rattle. While this bar seems
to be designed to be loose the noise is now much more
prevalent during normal driving then when new. The dealer
has "adjusted the clips" but the problem remains. 

Anyone have a similar experience or can offer advice
on how to proceed?
