I don't know how a UK 1986 200TQ is controlled.  What sort of MAC ECU
does it have (behind a panel, right footwell) and is there a hose to
the top of the wastegate?

I suspect you have a purely mechanical enrichment system. Is there a
vacuum hose to the control pressure regulator, down on the side of the
block?  If there is, it's simply a matter of raising boost in some way
(there are several ways) and warning the ECU that it's going to happen.

There's a downside, of course.  Engine life is always reduced by such
modifications.
