A4 remote Alzheimer's

Anybody have trouble with an A4 or other new RF (non-IR) remote locking
system forgetting your remote's identity?

Randomly today the car suddenly didn't like my usual remote.  Got home
and the spare worked fine.  Foolishly wasted time taking apart the two
and swapping batteries to no avail.

Performed the arcane, bizarre, and undocumented 'dual remote'
programming ritual and all is fine.
(Do not EVER allow your dealer to charge for this... it's weird but 40
seconds of key turning and button pushing.)

The funny thing is, that as the ritual will demonstrate if not performed
precisely, you have to do both remotes together or only one will work,
so I would think the locking demon would similarly forget them both,
rather than suddenly not like one but still recognize the other.  Guess
I need to perform more live sacrifices...
