AL/GA mechanic wanted

Wondering if there's anyone on the list who can recommend a good mechanic
that would be within a 2 hour proximity of Birmingham, Alabama (Atlanta,
Montgomery, Nashville, etc.).  My dad wants me to assist in refurbishing
his '87 5K (w/180K miles).  Since I haven't lived there in over 10 years
(and still reside in Florida), I'm not aware of the European auto scene in
Alabama/Georgia.
