I would assume Unless you have a written contract with this person, or a
witness to the a verbal agreement your would be SHOL.  I'll bet your
attorney would tell you that if you did have a case you would have to
weigh wether attorney fees/court costs would be more that what you would
get.  Does the person have any assets?
