I was also at that race in the same spot. Hell, we were probably standing
next to each other. I had the motor drive on the camera set at 5 frames/sec
and got several good sequences of Hans from take off to landing. Decided to
send the film rolls to Kodak rather than have the local developer possibly
screw them up. First time I have ever had film lost in transit.
Aarrrggggghh!!! Every once in a while a few rolls break out of the
individual bags in handling and all traceability is lost. Ever since then I
always write my name and phone number on the roll of film with an indelible
marker.
