Stuck in mid-air

I was there,

I was at Lime Rock when Stuck was flying the 90 GTO car.  I was watching
and shooting just down the kinked straight from the top of the hill.  Out
of the corner of my eye I thought I saw him pull the wheels up coming over
the brow.   I got the camera ready.  Nah, didn't do it.  I waited again. 
Nothing.  I put the camera down.  He did it!  We played this game for
several laps.  When I was ready he stayed grounded.  When he flew I was
watching camera down.  I finally got one not very sharp shot.  I can't find
it!  

I just sent many many shots of the 200 and 90 race cars to Thompson Smith. 
Watch for them to appear on a T-shirt or something in the future.  Or maybe
deposited on a web site somewhere for viewing.  



I also saw the wreck of John Mortons burned to a pulp Nissan 300zx.  
During friday practice he did a "blow over" to use an unlimited hydroplane
term.  The car crashed and burned big time.

I was at the race on Sat.  I saw a burned wreck of some kind of race car. 
Completely unidentifiable.  Just a black charred mess on a tarp in the
pits.  All I had heard was that Morton had crashed and was not in the race.
  I taped the race even though I was there and when I skimmed it on Sunday
I learned that that charred mess had been a 300zx race car.  Amazing crash
to walk away from with only minor burns.
