ever see train races on pavement?
they did this at least once a month before they closed saugus speedway.
teams of three cars each, attached at the bumper.
front car is typically  of the oldsmobuick variety.
middle car is an empty shell.
rear car is also sans engine but has a tillerman.
picture half a dozen of these teams racing in a figure 8.
side splitting entertainment...
