Um... not really.  Porterville is in the San Joaquin Valley, a little south and
west of Sequoia National Park.  The Nixon Library is in Yorba Linda, something
like half-way between Redondo Beach and Riverside.  They're maybe 250 road
miles apart.  In answer to John Karasaki's question, a drive through all or
part of Sequoia NP would be a pleasant diversion, though the speed limits are
pretty darn conservative.  Makes the use of the Quattro Cloaking Device
somewhat painful.  Although, come to think of it, some roads may be closed due
to snow this time of year.  Best to check ahead.
