Marketplace ur-q warning

I was just perusing the q-list marketplace when I found a
surprising ad:

> 1983 Turbo Quattro Coupe. $8,000. 125,000 miles. Lookout
> Mountain, TN (Chattanooga). Serial No. 599. Rare port rose
> with dark brown leather. Factory BBS wheels. Possible
> delivery. Please contact Major at emcdeets@aol.com. Phone
> (423) 751-2440 (work), (423) 821-1153 (home).

This is the same car I went to look at several months ago. At
the time I offered the guy something like $3500 for it, and
I'm glad he turned it down, because it was too much. $8000 is
laughable! There are body panels on this thing that are
thoroughly rusted, and the underside is completely orange. If
anyone has considered this car, DON'T. If you're still
considering it, I'll be happy to give you a list of all the
faults I saw, and I'll be happy to go look at it again for
some more laughs. After my description of the car to the list,
I believe Phil Payne called it an "invitation to bankruptcy."

Major, if you're on the list, I realize that you can ask any
price you want for your car. I don't have anything personal
against you, I'm just trying to save some poor soul from
wasting their time and money. Good luck getting your price...
you're gonna need it!
