re: 87.5 throttle body
Ah yes, the 82 intake manifold is made as if the bigger butterfly
throttle body is the stock part. Kewl!
I'll have to swap over the throttle cable attachment since the angle is
different, and the WOT switch mount since the 87.5 interferes with the
82 6th injector.
The only issue at all is the 3rd vacuum line to the brake booster, which
is attached to the TB just before the butterflies. No connection there
on the 87.5. I presume (trouble!) that this is a last ditch place to
get vacuum anyway, to provide brake boost under extreme conditions. It
seems to me that there is only vacuum there (before the throttle) at WOT
anyway, right? I'm thinking I can experiment with either blocking that
inlet to the brake booster system or hooking it up earlier in the air
path, like where the old AC idle increase connection was.
PS I meant to say the secondary is huger, not the primary. primary is
the same.
