Mold making of injector cooling fan nozzle?
Hi guys, my injector cooling fan nozzle is finally cracking up on me. I
patched it, after I cracked it with my extension, while replacing the spark
plugs. I was amazed that the plastic had become like egg shell, but I
thought, no big deal I just order a new one. I found out that it is a dealer
item only, and they want a million bucks for it. Glory, Glory
Hallelujah.......(we love it too Mike!) What I like to do is to take the
nozzle off and make a mold of the top and the bottom half, which does'nt
seem very difficult. I have looked around and there are several companies
that sell rubber mold supplies, but I am not sure which I should use. Has
any of you experience with these products? Would the material of choice, for
the new nozzle, be composite? What about high heat resistance? If this works
I wil be glad to share the mold with anybody who needs it. Thanks, Martin
