cost of cars

	people, including my regular mechanic, warned me up
	and down about the reliability and *cost* of fixing
	an audi.  parts are expensive, yadda yadda.

	well, i just got a call from said mechanic about my
	other car, the one i'm going to sell, the honda civic.
	fuel pump went, and they also want to replace the relay 
	and the fuel filter. 

	total parts cost: $350.

	i was shocked that an "expensive" german bosch fuel
	pump could cost $90 less than the same in a japanese
	version.  then i wasn't shocked anymore, because cars 
	is cars.

	anyway, i'm going to see what rod wants for the same
	part.  just thought i'd share.  keep the faith.
