Cold start prob questions

	1988 5KS, 2.3 litre n/a.  Sudden difficulty at startup.  After startup the
car is very 
difficult to get going until warm.  Acts like a carb vehicle with a dead
choke.
	We will check the cold start valve tomorrow.  
	What else in the cold start system can give this kind of symptom?  Is there
anything that could have been knocked loose? A switch that could have died
suddenly?
	The car was running fine yesterday, fine this morning.  Symptoms started this
afternoon.  The local temp dropped today, but this problem did not exist when
it was cold down here earlier this winter. (And yes, we did drop below
freezing a time or two this year...)
