tonight's work

as usual, thanks to mike for being helpful
	and there and all that.

replaced a lot of vacuum hose. we diddn't
realize that the one to the ecu was a different
size, so i just cut off a couple cm's to
get rid of the old stretched end.

while it was all out, we ran the 4k cutout
tests. temp sender passed ok, but thest 2
was odd (idle switch). i read 14 on the
meter, which is no good, it's supposed to
be zero when closed and infinite when open.
he opened it and we got infinite, which was
good, but it stayed that way when closed.
so i'm going to replace the switch, i'll
	call rod tomorrow.

	anything i should know? i'm assuming there's
nothing special to it. should i bother to
replace the wot switch while i am down there?

i did miscelaneous stuff, too. worked on
making my speaker connections for the front
set all proper, and finally replaced the
driver's side underdash, as well as cleaning
up a bunch of crap alarm wiring and relay
	hacks in the glove box.

the big question now... i have about $2300
saved up, and expect $1500-$2000 more when i
	sell my honda. should i:

	- get the mc conversion

	or

	- do a ton of other stuff that i want to do:
	  - minor head oil leak
	  - timing belt
	  - convert to k24 (plumb water cooled)
	  - chip
	  - front shocks, bearings, much suspension
	  - late model dashboard
	  - very minor coolant leak
	  - replace aging fuel pump

i'm blowing off getting a 2piece em because
it's just too expensive. i'll wait on it
until some of this other stuff is done, unless
i can afford it with all these other big
ticket items. also, if i do *all* of this
work myself i can *maybe* afford it with
the $4300 or so. actually, it looks like
	it's really affordable. hmmm. anyway,
the thing i am wondering is if i should
send it out to 2bennett for the engine work.
probably an extra $1k... descisions. there
are a couple of other things i'd want to
have worked on there anyway, like a minor
problem missing on a cylinder, and a couple
of very mysterious flat spots in the power
band at 3250 and 3750 rpm.

oh, can you tell i'm keeping the car? kindof
anyway. if someone offers me the right amount
i'll still sell it, and find a clean 4k to do
mc/suspension/interior magic to and make a
	nice stealth car.
