Earlier this year I had the opportunity to think about that. After my
buddy rolled my car (me in passanger seat) I got to think about what would
have happened had I died. Think of the lives you will effect if you get
killed.

Imagine losing your best friend. Imagine losing the friend you always did
'car' stuff with. Imagine burying your son/husband/dad/brother.

Crap! We all die eventually...but losing someone because they didn't want
to wear a seat-belt!? Those laws are there to protect YOUR life. Ever
think about the usefullness of side impact beams? Heck, not really...untill
you get T-boned...then they seem useful!

When we speed we take a risk. Try to realize that you aren't just risking
your personal life...You are risking the emotional pain of a lot more.
Would I ever hurt my best friend Mike? Hell no! So what happens when I'm
doing 160km/h and a tire blows and I go? That'll hurt him pretty good.

>Everyone should be responsible for their own risk...

but realize all the other stuff you're risking.

I'm done on this thread.
