There is one thing you should remember, though.  The window sticker on my 86
golf was 8,700$.  The 84 GTi was a touch over 9 with a sunroof and AC.  the 86
4000CSQuattro was well over 19.  The Coupe GT was above 18.  You get what you
pay for....The build quality was better on Audis of the day, but they were 2
times as expensive.  But they aren't two times as fast....or worth two times
as much now.
