Once on an infected computer, it attaches itself randomly and invisibly to
e-mails and newsgroup postings.  Contrary to rumor, it does nothing but
that--it doesn't search for passwords or do anything at all to other
files.  It just endlessly passes itself along.

Actually, on a home computer, it's little more than an annoyance.  On a
network, though, it can bring a mail server to its knees in no time.

If anyone gets it, feel free to write; I have instructions for ridding
your computer of it, and it's relatively easy.  You don't have to reformat
or anything, just delete a couple files and reinstall wsock32.dll.
