RE: Aux water pump question...
Disconnect and remove your pump from the car, run one hose from the "in"
and one hose from the "out", connect 12Volt to the pump and see if it pumps
(water). That is the only way to test it, a "humming sound" from the pump
does not necessarily means it is pumping.
You also can try the same test on your car, while the engine is OFF, shorten
the sending unit that is on the coolant flange and see if the pump is
running, disconnect the outlet side and check if the pump is pumping (could
be a bit messy).

I might have a good (pumping) pump for sale,

Subject: Aux water pump question...
I have a question about how to test to make sure my afterun water pump,
the one for the turbo....is working? I haven't heard mine in a while....or
at least haven't noticed hearing it. Is there and easy test to see if it's
operating properly? Car is a '90 200tq.
Thanks!
Later,
Dan
