Has anyone had their headlights go out when using the turnsignals?  I have had this happen twice.  To fix all I did was turn the headlights off and back on.

it's interesting you say that.  i have actually heard others say that the 1.8 is
'overbuilt' and has extremely robust rods and pistons, etc., and cite the fact that
Audi runs this motor above 200hp.

for all the hundreds of chipped A4's that it seems are running around, i haven't
heard any motor disaster stories.  definitely have read some wastegate rod and
intercooler hose problems, but some stock motors have had those problems too.

i'm interested in hearing from any listers who are have had those motor disaster
stories.  although i have no intention of going past a chip myself, it would be
good to know what the limits are and what setups have caused problems.
