5KCSTQ -- Acceleration Hesitation

Need Advice:

Can't pinpoint the exact cause of the hesitation that started about a month
ago in my 5KCSTQ (87).

It only seems to happen when I accelerate hard -- +4-5K rpms and above.

The engine doesn't skip - it's not the timing or plugs (IMO)-- it just
feels like it's starving for fuel at higher rpms

Turbo registers 1.3-1.4 bar -- as usual, but when I get to 70-80 mph --
I can actually fell the turbo outperforming the acceleration. I can
almost feel the car wanting to go like it usually does, but it can't.
   Loss of power.

I've also noticed hard-starting in the a.m. -- not due to plugs - and
seems like it may be getting worse. Some blue-white smoke when I start
it initially -- not a ton. Fuel pump buzzes away as usual.

This happened a few times in my 4KSQ. Once it was the fuel pump -- and it
just failed on day. Upon replacing the fuel pump, the idiot mechanic put a
4 cyl relay in -- and the car ran like shit until a month later when I
brought it to a real mechanic.

I need your help with diagnosis.. Are we talkin'

Fuel pump on it's way out?
   Time for new injectors?
   Hoses?
   Turbo?
   Fuel filter?

I really don't believe it's the turbo -- all turbo lines and oil cooler
lines were replaced within the last 90 days.

TIA very much!
