I didn't realize A509's were all-seasons. Also, don't think BFG VR4 are
available in 205/50-15. Only other all-seasons I'm aware of in this size are
Bridgestone RE910 (vague, poor dry traction) and Conti CH95 (not sure how
these are).

My 4000Q had an ABT suspension kit when I bought it. Bilstein sport shocks
and yellow lowering springs (I think they're H & R's). Also using urethane
control arm bushings front and rear. Just put the 16x7.5" BBS wheels with
P7000 215/40ZR-16 summer compound tires on the car (wheels and tires both on
closeout sale from Tire Rack!). Clearance is indeed better than with
205/50-15 D60's, and steering response and dry traction is MUCH improved
(how does 45mph on 15mph posted curve sound?). Just wish the car had some
power!
