vacuum advance replacement...




On my '84 5kS, I've determined by detailed exact testing that
the vacuum advance mechanism is defective (I sucked on it, and 
it didn't even try to hold the vacuum).

>From the diagram I have, I can tell it's attached to the distributor
body by 2 screws (or just 1?) from the outside, and a little
flat arm with a hole in the end reaches into the distributor.

My question: Can I remove/replace the vac. adv. unit just by
undoing those screws, or is that arm attached to something on
the inside such that I'll have to remove-from-engine/disassemble/both
the distributor?
