RE: getting a tow (no audi content)

speaking of tow's.....

i used to run a 16km time trial every other sunday to keep sharp for my
cycle racing. so every now and then i'd head to the course and go for it.
this was a waterfront out-and-back circuit and so was in constant use by
normal traffic. one day i was at the head of the course (st heliers) and i
saw a bus a little ahead of me so i caught his air and sat on the 3/4, as
you do. well the driver saw me and accelerated slightly towing me along.
he continued to accelerate until i was pushing my biggest gears and my legs
were flaping. we continued like this all the way into town....

past all the would-be passengers who moved out to the kerb as they saw the
bus approach, only to see it rip past, driver paying them no attention, and
with yours truly head down arse up in pursuit.

the looks on their faces was absolutely priceless.

the driver gave me a toot at the town end of the line, i gave him a wave,
and he turned the bus around to go and pick up some passengers....
