RE: Will recharge BOMBS for food

Geo,
Yes my procedure is very similar to Joel Skousen's. I do not know what
type of valve he used (he did not know the part #) but he indicates it
is a schrader type. The valve I use is similat to a standard quick
disconnect air fitting - it is rated for 6000psi working pressure. They
cost about $10 each.

I suppose your old bomb is worth $50 if it is in good condition other
than it has simply lost pressure. My local junkyard is charging me $50
for used ones right now - I might be able to get them cheaper in the
future.

Send me your old bomb and I will check it out. If it is good I will send
you the $50 core charge when I send it out to someone else.

The pressure should not change at all in 48 hours - although I was
seeing a small pressure change due to temperature changes (it only takes
about 5 Degf to effect a 50psi change). This is just a crude test to
make sure the fitting (which is threaded in) and baldder etc. are not
leaking so bad that the thing is going to bleed down in a few days.

Are you using the Joel Skousen method? Does this mean my old bomb is
worth 50 bux? If so, I will send it to you, and I'll pay for the
shipping ;-) What kind of pressure drop would you expect in 48 hrs?
Inquiring minds want to know.
