your fam always been into cars or is this relatively recent?

Well, My grandfather started it, although he loved classics. He had a 1910
Pope -Hartford (made in Hartford, Connecticut), 7 Thunderbirds, a Ferrari 250
GT Lusso Berlinetta, 2 Bentleys, a bunch of Lincolns, and a Lancia Grand prix
car. My dad's first car was a 56 Thunderbird, his second car was a brand new
289 GT Mustang. He also had a corvair monza. Then there is a large gap, when
my grandfather died he passed the 26 Bentley onto my dad, who restored it (won
several trophies, car is valued somewhere over 300K) ANyway, my dad got some
money, sold his K100RS BMW bike, and bought the SL and the 633. Later, he
bought a 735I 5 speed( 1988) and a 635. Then he started driving schools. The
635 turned out to be a bit slow, so he bought a nice 88 M5. That car
screamed. However, it broke a lot and was relativly expensive to put
highperformance parts onto. He sold the 633 and bought the 924. It has since
turned into a race car. He races PCA, instructs in both PCA and BMWCCA.
Lot's of fun. The 735i experienced some problems, they traded it for the 535i
(low miles car) which isn;t as nice or as fast. Or as pretty. He joined the
QCUSA to instruct me. He'll be instructing me again in April at the BMW
school at Limerock. Anyways, he needed an everyday car to replace the 924,
and the 944TS showed up. What a great car - rocket ship too. I pulled about
140 in 4th (still accelerating..!!!) in about 1.5 miles...anyways, I've always
loved cars, I'm saving right now for my first BMW (Probably a E30 88-91 M3.)
This audi is my 5th audi (2 parts cars) and my 2nd VW (golf GTi, Rabbit GTi).
You probably don't care about all of this stuff, but I found it interesting to
write down. It has been a key point in maintaining a great relationship with
my father, who I love dearly. Sniff Sniff.

And I just turned 21, by the way. Not that that matters, but I've got a jump
on my dad, at least.

Later!
Carter J
