89-91 Bentley says gas pressure of new accumulator is 78-82 bar at 20 deg C.
Simple application of gas laws says that when the gas is compressed to
half its original volume, pressure will be double - so at system pressure,
the gas in the bomb is (very) approximately half the original volume,
displaced by a similar volume of hydraulic oil.
If the gas in the accumulator were at system pressure, you wouldn't
be able to get any oil in there...
