Could be the PS pump.  At least this has been happening to mine for the
past few weeks.  Pop the hood and put a screwdriver tip to the pump and put
the handle to your ear (mechanic's stethoscope) for a positive diagnosis.
Be careful not to let the screwdriver hit a moving part, yadda-yadda-yadda.
