One Big Screech From The Front.

Hello,

    A couple of weeks ago, the air compresser fan belt flipped over on
itself and was riding the rim for awhile making a loud noise only when the
car was being driven and would stop when parked or at a light.  That has
been fixed.  The original belt is still there with all its minor cracks and
one big silver streak up the middle.

    Now there is this similar noise that comes only when the car is in
motion.  I wonder if the belt is making this noise and ask you what else
could possibly make that kind of noise.  On the backseat is a replacement
belt to be installed this coming weekend.

I am driving a 1986 4000 CS Quattro
