PSA for US qlisters: Recalls

Since this seems to be an important topic on the list right now I thought
I'd post the NHTSA website where anyone can check to see what recalls (if
any) apply to their cars.  Please feel free to check:

Since Audi must actually verify whether or not recalls have been performed
on all cars sold here in the USA you should be able to call your local
dealer and give them the VIN and ask if the car has any outstanding recalls.
IME, Audi's database may not be 100% correct (they told me that my '88
5kCSQA needed the fuel injection system recall when it was obvious that it
had already been done).
