4kcsq stalling -- Help!

Folks,

Drove my '86 4kcsq all the way from Baltimore to NYC a few days ago and
parked it. Ran fine (though the coolant temp was running a little low -
probably unrelated).

After sitting outside for three days, I fired it up. It ran fine for about
three seconds and then died. I repeated this several times, revving the
engine up to 4000rpm. A few times, it would roughly idle at around 400rpm
for a few more seconds then die again.

Things I checked:

Alternator output: 14.4V, no problem
That stupid fuse that looks like a spare: not blown, in place. Had been
burned by this one before.
Visual inspection of hoses, etc: No obvious problems.

I'm stumped. And I need this car to work, soon! Any ideas? I'm gonna
check that fuse and its contacts again, just to be sure - it's supposed to
be on the right, in the second spot from the top, is that correct? I can't
remember for sure, but it was running fine before and I didn't pull any
fuses.

Any suggestions appreciated!!!
