Can you be more specific (if you know) which hydraulic line was bad? I assume
it was the rubber one which goes from the firewall to the slave?
I too am going through this process. On my car the MC was definately bad. I
think the slave is as well but will re-bleed (pressure bleed) one more time
before changing it and if I do, the hose as well I suppose.
I have heard that the MC and slave should be done together. That was the case
on my 4kq, and was what was done on my 5ktq at 70k miles. Now at 155k I tried
to "get away with" just the MC but the pedal "feel" has a kinda hydraulic
bubbly sensation (sorry to be so vague). Next step is hose and slave if
bleeding doesn't help.
BTW, thanks again to all who helped in my clutch plight a month or so back.
All "funny noises" are gone and it does disnegage properly now. My thought was
a heat shield was rattling and when the MC was bad there was excessive
vibration setting it off. (Let's hope!)
