CORRECTION: oversteer
Hello, all...
In my reply regarding oversteer/understeer, I incorrectly stated that
early Porsche 911s went into sudden oversteer after application of the
brakes in a turn. That was not, as Porsche afficionados will quickly
note, strictly true. What actually brought about the transition was the
sudden throttle liftoff by panicky drivers; it's known as
"trailing-throttle oversteer".
Sheesh, two dumb mistakes in one week! I think I need more coffee...
And, a non-audi question: I've recently switched to Linux and am using
Pine for e-mail. Does anyone know why my "To" field is showing up in the
subject header?
