90Q trans. woes

Hi all.... 

Just lost 5th gear in my 90Q...:(  It has had a 3rd gear grind since I
got the car a year and a half ago.....rev matching works wonderful to
avoid that.....but today, while I was driving home....I went to shift
into 5th and it got stuck in neutral on the interstate!  Once I slowed
the car and motor to 20 mph, I was able to shift back into 3rd and found
that I had 1st through 4th with reverse.  If I try to shift to 5th it
gets stuck in neutral until I slow down.  

Any ideas on how to fix this cheaply?  Or am I up the perverbial creek
without a paddle??????
