Grinding Sound from Right Front - 5KCSTQ
Hi All:
I have just recently developed an almost metallic grinding noise from
coming my right front. I thought optimistically that it was just a
stone wedged around the rotor splashguard but disassembly of the aforementioed
yielded no stones and the grinding persists. My driveshafts only have
about 30K on them so I'm ruling out the CVJ. This leaves me, I think,
with either the wheel bearing or something in the diff. Would a bad
bearing make such a noise? In my experience bearing degradation was
accompanied with more of a humming/droning sound.
I'd greatly appreciate any comments/feedback.
