I was curious is the grinding noise all the time or does it occur only when
braking? Could it be your brake caliper
dragging? Also, if you drive the car a short distance (say a mile) and stop is
the rim warm/hot? I am presently diagnosing the same type of problem on my
Quattro and have ruled out brakes and bearings. I will follow this thread closely
as I am curious of your resolution. I am hoping (as I am sure you are) it is NOT
the differential. Please keep the list posted.
