4000q turned 944?

Driving home from work tonight I had this crazy brain storm. 924 was
originally VWs baby but gave it to Porsche during the oil crisis in the 70's.
The successor to the 924 is the 944.  Just maybe a 944 engine would bolt up to
a 4000q without adapter.  924 has VW motor, inline 5 is basically VW 4+1, and
944 is successor to 924.  Pretty crazy huh?  944 turbo parts are probably a
heck of lot more expensive than 10v turbo parts.  Anybody have a 944 block
laying around to see if they could measure the motor to tans bolt dimensions?
