Well, it has happened to me both ways - I had a few (wasted) dates with
young ladies who basically wanted to date the red 280SL I was driving at
the time, and I've had a few cancellations when one young lady or another
discovered the transportation was a K-car. Understand that the K-car was
only about three years old at the time, no dents, rust, kept clean and
cleaned out, but the message was VERY clear: "You don't make enough money
to date me!" - which wasn't true by a LOOOONG shot, but I just didn't
choose to spend it on cars. I consider myself lucky to be rid of all of
them. (The cars, too.)
