Audi scale model news
Hi all,
Just got the latest news about model cars to be introduced this year, with
several Audis among them.
Firstly, Alezan from France will bring the 1987 Pikes Peak Sport Quattro as
a 1/43 resin kit. I've seen Alezan kits before, and they're tricky to
build. If you're experienced you can make a beautiful model, though.
They're low-volume makers, and availability is patchy to say the least.
I've seen them on the listings of www.ewacars.com though, so maybe that's a
good source.
Secondly, Minichamps will issue another batch of 1/43 A4 touring cars in
last year's livery.
Finally, Revell (of Audi Avus and TT fame) will release a 1/18 roadster
version of the TT and a superb (judging by the pictures) 1/18 Auto-Union
1000 S sedan. Revell's quality is incredible, and their models are
definitely worth the premium over Buragos. Finally, we're starting to see a
decent array of large-scale Audi models!

PS non-Audi model introductions, for other car nuts: how about a 1/18 Mako
Shark, a 1/18 Ferrari BB, ditto Aston Martin DB5, Range Rover 4.6 HSE, 1/43
Alfa Romeo Duetto, 1/18 Borgward Isabella Coupe, 1/18 Renault 8 Gordini,
1/18 '78 Corvette, 1/18 Tucker Torpedo, 1/18 '76 Golf GTI, 1/43 '78 BMW
3-series, 1/43 Mini Moke, 1/43 '97 Subaru Impreza McRae, ... it's gonna be
an expensive year!
