just jump the fuel pump relay... it only runs when the coil is firing,
but it counts pulses (well I think it does, anyway) and when they equal
6500 rpm - off goes the pump.  My 82 doesn't seem to have this "feature"
though.  Of course I haven't tried for 7000 to test my theory.  ("of
course?" - why not?)
