RE: Clutch pedal sticks on floor
Sounds familiar. In my case, it was a dead master cylinder. The plunger in
the master cylinder is capped with a rubber seal. At full throw, the rubber
seal was sticking to the inside wall of the cylinder and was rolling on
itself and binding, effectively holding the plunger (and pedal) at full
throw. I could hook the pedal with my toe and pull it back up. Upon
redepressing the clutch the seal would unroll and return to normal function
until it was again pushed to the floor. I had the master cylinder and
slave cylinder replaced at the same time by the local dealership. It was a
tad expensive, but the clutch master on my car was buried under the dash.
Horrible accessibility. Perhaps the 100 allows a little more room to work.
Mine died as a function of old fluid. The previous owner didn't drive the
car a whole lot over the past 6 years or so, and the fluid had become
corrosive and ate the seals in the clutch and brake cylinders. Lesson
being, change your brake/clutch fluid every two years regardless of mileage.
An ounce of prevention...
