Spitting in the AM

This weekend I'm replacing plugs in my '90 200 - somehow I feel
that the plugs which were in it when purchased at 39K miles might
be getting tired at 108K miles. Fancy that.

At any rate, it's starting hard (5-8+ seconds cranking) and running
rough for a few seconds in the AM. Blauferg's website sez that
when this hard start occurs at over 100K (coupled with a puff of
smoke at startup), it's time to think injectors. I'm going to do plugs
first and see if there's improvement...have looked for vacuum leaks
and haven't found any. I'm not inclined to go after injectors until I
prove there's a real problem with them.

Any opinions on the injectors @100K issue? BTDT's? Comments
on symptoms of bad injectors? TIA, folks.
