Good question Steve. How did you finally deal with it? I was going to follow
Scott Mo's suggestions for holding the assembly in place with a screwdriver and
breaking the nut loose with an impact wrench. If that fails, then the waste gate
comes off to gain access to the lower part of the assembly to hold it in place.
Any other hints or BTDTs out there? Thanks.

My question is, how do you get that nut off of the waste gate to disassemble
it? On the '86 5ktq I _attempted_ to disassemble it seemed to be installed
with some super Loctite type stuff which neither heat nor solvents could
loosen...
